Mr. Cherno Jallow and the Virgin Islands (CFATF Chair 2012-2013) brought the CFATF to a new level, after helping the organization face and successfully complete its reform process. Following and exceeding its Work Programme, Mr Jallow led the way in many initiatives. Just to name a few, he strongly encouraged greater Member participation in CFATF Working Groups and general matters. He also contributed to the establishment of measures and mechanisms to ensure the timely payment of contributions. He was also key in promoting the organization of CFATF Compliance Conferences, that above all, serve an educational and sensitization purpose. It was also because of his leadership, that the CFATF engaged in dialogue with financial institutions, international organizations, and other FATF Style Regional Bodies, to strenghten relationships and cooperation.
